How to Make a DIY Pumpkin Hair Mask

Pumpkin is known to contain vitamins A, C, and E which can boost the amount of moisture in your strands, heal inflammation in your scalp, and promote cell turnover too. Many people suffer from dry and itchy scalps during the cooler months, so finding a hair mask that offers relief for your scalp and hydration for your strands is a great way to prep your hair for the winter months. Step 1: Mix a can of pumpkin with 1/4 cup of coconut oil and one tablespoon of honey in a small bowl until the mixture is completely integrated. It may take a few minutes of mixing to completely combine all of the ingredients. Step 2: After washing your hair with your favorite shampoo (we recommend TRESemmé Pro Pure Micellar Moisture Shampoo to prep and hydrate your strands), use your fingers to spread half of the mask through your hair. Make sure to massage your scalp so that it reaps the full benefits of the inflammation-fighting ingredients. Step 3: Allow the mask to sit and penetrate your strands for 5-10 minutes. Because of the hydrating coconut oil present in the mixture, you can feel comfortable skipping the conditioner. If you do want to continue your routine, as usual, opt for the coordinating TRESemmé Pro Pure Micellar Moisture Conditioner. Step 4: Finally, let your hair air-dry or use a hairdryer to do a DIY blowout. You will be amazed at the high gloss results your pumpkin hair mask will deliver! Store whatever the leftover from your mask in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 5 days! Revisit this mask again and again throughout the colder months to soothe your dry scalp and give your strands a dose of moisture. Are you thinking about trying out this pumpkin hair mask?
